Evelyn Dupuy has been living in the Netherlands for over ten years, but her music remains rooted in Cuba. The singer began performing at a young age and draws inspiration from Afro-Latin rhythms, which blend tradition with contemporary influences. She has collaborated with Cimafunk and Chuchito Valdés and has performed at venues such as the Concertgebouw, Melkweg and TivoliVredenburg. She appeared on *The Voice of Holland* as ‘The Latin Voice’.
Her music is danceable and draws on Cuban traditions, with songs she now performs on stages across the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Germany. Alongside her work as a singer, she is committed to promoting diversity and female representation in the music industry.
After the concert, there will be Salsa Panorama, the Cuban Salsa social in our café with fantastic views, where you can dance into the wee hours. Experienced or not, everyone is welcome. Salsa Panorama, organised by Salsa District, has become a tradition at the BIMHUIS: this is already the 13th edition.
